The Inspiration

PalmToms started with Taylor, a Canadian carpenter and inventor.
After a workplace accident, he lost feeling in his fingertips and couldn’t play guitar anymore. But when he saw his daughter using an electric drum kit, he had an idea: What if he could use similar technology to play guitar again?

So he got to work. In 2011, he built his first pair of sound-making gloves—and held onto the dream while waiting for technology to catch up.

Now it finally has. And today, with his daughter leading the charge, PalmToms is ready to help people of all ages and abilities create music, connect, and have fun—just by moving their hands.
